Dr Hayriye Yerlikaya-Manzel and Dr Martin Manzel in conversation

With effect from 1 July 2026, Dr Hayriye Yerlikaya-Manzel and Dr Martin Manzel will join the commercial law firm BUSE as partners at its Berlin office. Dr Hayriye Yerlikaya-Manzel is a specialist in family law, whilst Dr Martin Manzel is a specialist in immigration law. With their proven expertise, they will expand the firm’s range of advisory services, particularly at the intersections with employment, company and corporate law, as well as in cross-border matters.

A key focus of their work is advising internationally active companies, entrepreneurs and skilled professionals. In this capacity, they assist German companies with investments and market entry in Turkey, as well as Turkish companies and investors with their business activities in Germany. Thanks to their many years of experience in German-Turkish legal and economic relations, they strengthen BUSE’s international focus and expand the firm’s range of advisory services for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Both advise companies on the legally compliant employment of international specialists and executives, as well as on cross-border projects. Their areas of specialisation include procedures relating to residence and work permits, the establishment of foreign entrepreneurs in Germany, and supporting companies in recruiting and integrating qualified specialists from abroad. Their advice combines many years of experience with a deep understanding of the economic and legal requirements of companies operating internationally.

“With Dr Hayriye Yerlikaya-Manzel and Dr Martin Manzel, we are gaining two proven specialists who will strengthen our advisory services in an area of growing importance for many companies. Their extensive experience in international matters and in advising corporate clients significantly expands our team’s expertise,” explains Renke Lührs, partner at BUSE’s Berlin office. “Today, companies and entrepreneurial families are increasingly faced with cross-border legal and economic issues that require close integration of various areas of law. In particular, the strong German-Turkish advisory expertise of Dr Yerlikaya-Manzel and Dr Manzel complements our international focus and creates tangible added value for our clients,” adds Dr Jan Tibor Lelley, Chair of BUSE’s Partners’ Council.
