On 1 September 2025, Oliver Stein joined the Stuttgart office of the commercial law firm BUSE as a partner. He brings with him extensive expertise in international tax law and cross-border transactions, particularly in the German-French context.
His main areas of expertise are tax advice on company acquisitions and sales, corporate succession, structuring cross-border business models and advising private clients on inheritance and gift tax issues with an international dimension. Oliver Stein also advises on German and French VAT law and regularly gives lectures on this topic at training events.
With Oliver Stein, BUSE gains an experienced advisor who competently assists clients with complex legal and tax issues at the interface between Germany and France.
‘With Oliver Stein, we are gaining an excellent expert who ideally complements our range of services in the field of international tax law. His experience in German-French legal relations will enrich our Stuttgart office as well as the entire law firm network,’ emphasises Dr. Jan Tibor Lelley, Chairman of the BUSE Partner Council.
‘I am very pleased to be able to contribute my experience in international tax law to BUSE in the future. Cross-border consulting between Germany and France in particular offers exciting opportunities that I would like to further expand for our clients together with my colleagues,’ says Oliver Stein.
