Dr. Sophie Schierning is an attorney at BUSE in the Hamburg office in the area of commercial and corporate law. She is a member of the Practice Group Corporate Law and M&A as well as the Practice Group Renewable Energies.

Dr. Schierning advises companies and entrepreneurs from Germany and abroad on the establishment of new fields of activity, on changes of shareholders and on ongoing business. One focus of her work is the comprehensive support of investors and project developers in the field of renewable energies. She is particularly familiar with international M&A transactions and the drafting and negotiation of complex contracts.
During her doctoral studies, Sophie Schierning worked for a Magic Circle law firm in Munich and received a scholarship from Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft. She studied at the universities of Heidelberg, St. Andrews and Münster.
