The law firm BUSE is advising Manroland Sheetfed GmbH on its strategic reorganisation as part of protective shield proceedings. The aim is to stabilise the company on a sustainable basis and position it for long-term profitability.
Since 2023, Manroland Sheetfed has recorded a decline in turnover of around 30 per cent in the printing press production sector, due to a shrinking market, rising costs and geopolitical uncertainties. Despite a high-quality product portfolio and a strong brand, it has not yet been possible to reverse this trend.
“The protective shield proceedings enable the orderly implementation of necessary structural adjustments. Together with the management, we are working to position the company for the future,” explains Professor Dr Peter Fissenewert, Partner at BUSE.
The management will remain in office during the proceedings, supported by Peter Fissenewert of BUSE and the restructuring experts Arndt Geiwitz and Oliver Brückner of SGP Schneider Geiwitz as general representatives.
The Offenbach site will remain the headquarters for production, development and service. Worldwide, Manroland Sheetfed has around 40 service locations in Europe, America and Asia.
