At BUSE, we are committed to projects that serve the common good. For us, taking responsibility means actively engaging with social issues. In addition to providing financial support, we also contribute our legal expertise and the personal commitment of our consultants to promote greater participation and equal opportunities. Legal Support for Inclusion and Participation: Integrationsmodell Ortsverband Essen e.V.
BUSE provides legal advice and representation to the association Integrationsmodell Ortsverband Essen e.V. on special terms. The association operates assisted living facilities and outpatient care services for people with disabilities in Essen. It also develops alternative residential and support models to promote social inclusion. Through our legal support, we aim to make our expertise accessible to a charitable and socially significant cause.
St. Pauli Church: Legal Advice on Site
In Hamburg’s St. Pauli district, BUSE partnered with the Bürgerstiftung Hamburg to launch the project “Guter Rat vor Ort” (“Good Advice on Site”). In the rectory of St. Pauli Church, lawyers provide local residents with advice on everyday legal issues. The project serves as a model initiative and is now also supported by the Bucerius Law School, which encourages its students to get involved. A second location based on this model has since been established in Hamburg’s Hamm district.
Inclusion on the Water – The Huckleberry Finn Houseboat
BUSE supports the inclusion project “Hausboot Huckleberry Finn” run by the association Nicos Farm e.V. The goal is to create a shared retreat and recreational space on the water for people with and without disabilities.
Currently, BUSE is providing pro bono legal assistance to the association in securing a new mooring site, as temporary relocations have become necessary due to deepening works on the River Elbe. The project exemplifies our commitment to combining social engagement with legal expertise.
