Since 2012, Daniel Weiner has been working as counsel at Buse Heberer Fromm’s Berlin office. Parallel to this, he has also been running a tax consulting firm as Managing Partner since 2010. Prior to joining Buse Heberer Fromm, Daniel Weiner worked at one of the “Big Four” accounting companies for five years as well as at a medium-sized law firm for two and a half years.
Daniel Weiner advises national and international companies of all legal forms and high-net-worth private clients in all areas of tax planning, commercial and company law as well as in M&A transactions of any kind. He focuses, inter alia, on international tax law. His reference projects thus include cross-border structuring for listed corporations as well as succession planning for owner-managed partnerships, investment support for family offices and foundations, and ongoing tax consulting for family businesses.
His initiative and commitment led to Germany’s first tax-neutral and identity-preserving cross-border conversion of a Dutch BV into a German GmbH, which was performed for a subsidiary of the BHF client IMW Immobilien SE, with a transaction volume in the three-digit million range based on the ECJ’s “Vale” jurisprudence.
Previously, he was responsible, inter alia, for a global hotel chain, several automobile parts suppliers and a MDAX company. He was also responsible for a UAE investment in a German company via a foreign intermediate holding structure with a transaction value amounting to several billion US dollars.
For the last five years, he has been very active in the legal and tax consultation of start-ups, currently in the area of renewable energy in the region of the ASEAN countries.
