Daniel Weiner advises national and international companies of all legal forms and high-net-worth private clients in all areas of tax planning, commercial and company law as well as in M&A transactions of any kind. He focuses, inter alia, on international tax law. His reference projects thus include cross-border structuring for listed corporations as well as succession planning for owner-managed partnerships, investment support for family offices and foundations, and ongoing tax consulting for family businesses.

His initiative and commitment led to Germany’s first tax-neutral and identity-preserving cross-border conversion of a Dutch BV into a German GmbH, which was performed for a subsidiary of the BHF client IMW Immobilien SE, with a transaction volume in the three-digit million range based on the ECJ’s “Vale” jurisprudence.

Previously, he was responsible, inter alia, for a global hotel chain, several automobile parts suppliers and a MDAX company. He was also responsible for a UAE investment in a German company via a foreign intermediate holding structure with a transaction value amounting to several billion US dollars.

For the last five years, he has been very active in the legal and tax consultation of start-ups, currently in the area of renewable energy in the region of the ASEAN countries.
