André Giesen is a German attorney at law and Counsel based in the Duesseldorf office of BUSE. He is a member of the Corporate Law and M&A Practice Group.
André advises national and international clients on M&A transactions, corporate restructurings and the entire field of corporate law. His practice focuses on drafting and negotiating of share/asset purchase agreements as well as the implementation and coordination of legal due diligences.
Another focus of his practice is the comprehensive advice of start-up companies on all transactional and corporate law issues – from their establishment to the exit. Furthermore, André regularly supports his clients within the framework of their expansion activities abroad by way of process management and coordination with the respective foreign advisors.
Prior to joining BUSE, André worked as a lawyer at a Big Four law firm for more than five years. Prior to that, he worked for several years in various Corporate Law/M&A-departments of other international law firms as well as in the corporate law department of a DAX-listed company.
André studied law at the University of Bochum (RUB) and the University of Palma de Mallorca (UIB), completed the theoretical part of the training as a specialist attorney for commercial and corporate law and obtained an “Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)” degree in the course “Mergers & Acquisitions” at the University of Muenster (WWU).
André is a member of the Bar Association of Duesseldorf, the Mergers & Acquisitions Alumni Deutschland e.V., the International Bar Association (IBA) as well as the JurGrad Alumni e.V. He speaks German, English and Spanish.
