Since 2012 Daniel Weiner has been working as Counsel for Buse Heberer Fromm in Berlin. Parallel to this, he has also been running a tax consulting firm as managing partner since 2010. Prior to joining Buse Heberer Fromm, Daniel Weiner worked at one of the “Big Four” accounting companies for five years and at a medium-sized law firm for two and a half years.
Daniel Weiner advises national and international companies of all legal forms and high net worth individuals in all areas of tax planning, commercial and company law as well as in M&A transactions of any kind. One focus area of expertise is the law of international taxation. His reference projects thus include cross-border structuring for listed corporations as well as succession planning for owner-managed partnerships, investment support of family offices and foundations as well as ongoing tax consulting of family businesses.
Quite significantly on his initiative and engagement arose the nationwide first tax-neutral cross-border conversion of a Dutch BV into a German GmbH, which was performed for a subsidiary of the BHF-client IMW Immobilien SE with a three-digit millions transaction volume based on the “Vale” decision of the ECJ by keeping up the legal identity of the corporation.
Previously, he was responsible, inter alia, for a global hotel chain, several automobile parts suppliers, a MDAX company as well as for an investment in a German company from the UAE via an foreign intermediate holding structure with a transaction value amounting to several billion US dollars.
For about five years, he has been very active in the legal and tax consultation of startups such as currently in the area of renewable energy in the region of the ASEAN countries.Save as PDF
