Dr. Gösta Schindler is partner of Buse Heberer Fromm in Hamburg advising clients on questions of Intellectual Property Law (patents, trademarks, design, know-how, copyrights, licenses) and Competition Law.
Dr. Schindler has vast experience in aiding clients in IP-related litigation before German and European courts and administrative bodies. He advises start-ups, mid-size companies and large international corporations on questions of IP portfolio management, development, protection and commercialization e.g. through licensing.
Through his work, Gösta Schindler has gained particular knowledge in the luxury and consumer-goods industry as well as in the area of medical devices.
With regard to competition law, Dr. Schindler supports clients from the conceptual work on advertising campaigns through to their roll-out. He defends clients against third party attacks and acts of unfair competition by competitors.
Before joining Buse Heberer Fromm, Dr. Schindler worked with a boutique law firm already specializing in IP and competition law and, thereafter, with a U.S. firm where he focused on IP/competition law litigation. Dr. Schindler gained his law degrees from Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, IIT-Kent College of Law in Chicago, where he also served as visiting associate professor for International Trademark Law and other courses, as well as the University of Münster where he obtained the doctorate degree with a thesis on copyright licensing.Save as PDF
